Because of the health benefits of dates, we have been adding them in our daily diet. Few people are aware that by soaking dates in honey, we can reap plenty of benefits that can help children and the elderly overcome nutritional deficiencies.

To talk about honey, we all know that beekeepers and honey have a long history in India. Honey was initially discovered by ancient Indians who lived in rock shelters and woodlands. The principal raw resources utilised in the beekeeping industry are pollen and honey from blooming plants. Both natural and cultivated plants in India have significant potential for expanding beekeeping. People nowadays are aware of the health benefits that pure honey offers. Pure honey is a natural sweetener and also rich in other minerals and vitamins such as magnesium and potassium, therefore most of us have started using it as a sweetener in our beverages instead of white sugar.

The term “raw honey” refers to honey that has been gravity passed through a sieve to remove beeswax, honeycomb, and bigger particles of natural detritus. It is normal for raw honey to become murky, but it does not indicate that it has gone bad. It’s starting to crystallize.

Raw honey or pure honey is not filtered; filtered honey undergoes a procedure where it is heated and then quickly cooled. The heat eliminates most of the enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, and the filtration removes the majority of the pollen.

Honey crystallizes when it thickens (if tiny crystals form) and gets murky (as more crystals form). Some crystallization results a coarse sugary texture, while other crystallization produces a creamy feel. You can’t really stop it from crystallizing, but you can postpone it by putting your honey near the stove in a warm place.
